„Make it a game for the refugees” to projekt Erasmus+, który odbył się w Atenach w Grecji w dniach 19–26 maja 2019 r. Wzięło w nim udział 21 uczestników z Grecji, Austrii, Włoch, Serbii, Hiszpanii, Turcji i Polski.
Projekt koncentrował się na kryzysie humanitarnym, który dotknął Europę w ostatnich latach, z początkiem bezprecedensowego napływu imigrantów i uchodźców. W ich nowym domu w Europie edukacja będzie odgrywać kluczową rolę, aby umożliwić im odpowiednie dostosowanie, łatwiejsze znalezienie nowych miejsc pracy i kontakt z mieszkańcami, aby mogli czuć się bezpiecznie i uniknąć marginalizacji. Chociaż uchodźcy w wieku szkolnym natychmiast zapisali się do szkół i innych instytucji publicznych, inni młodzi dorośli uchodźcy, którzy nie pójdą tą drogą, zostaną wykluczeni z edukacji.
„Make it a game for the refugees” is the name of the Mobility project which took a place in the city of Athens, Greece between the 19th and 26th of May 2019. Twenty-one (21) participants took part in this experience, coming from Greece, Austria, Italy, Serbia, Spain, Turkey and Poland.
The project was focused on the humanitarian crisis that struck Europe in the last years, with the beginning of an unprecedented flow of immigrants and refugees. In their new home, Europe, education will play a central role in order for them to adjust appropriately, find more easily new jobs and connect with locals, so that they can feel safe and avoid marginalization. Although, school-aged refugees immediately enrolled in schools and other public institutions, other young adult refugees that won’t follow this way are excluded from education.
In our project, we intend to focus and try to include the aforementioned part of refugees in education and more specifically in Non-Formal Education, as a highly valuable and unique way to affect people’s life and boost their creativity and way of thinking.
Through “Gamification of Learning”, an educational approach that uses game elements in learning environments, we intend to support and provide additional knowledge and experience to our youth workers in order to be able to educate young adult refugees from a European perspective, teaching them our values and our culture, while at the same time entertain them and make them bring happiness back to their life.
